This programme explores the family types that exist within Australia and the changes that have happened in recent decades. The alterations to the roles and responsibilities of parents within families are also explored. The range of different families is clearly defined as well as acknowledging the increase in the number of one parent families present in Australia. The programme interviews a range of parents who share their views on their roles and responsibilities. While the family group has changed considerably and will continue to change, the key roles of nurturing and upbringing of children still remain the main focus.
