Teaching resources for Refugee Week

Refugee Week is an opportunity for us all to celebrate the many positive contributions made by refugees to Australian society. It feels like now more than ever, is a time for us to come together and strive for a better understanding between different people and communities. To help you facilitate meaningful discussion, reflection and understanding in your classroom, we’ve put together a collection of awesome content related to the diverse refugee communities and stories in Australia and the world. The collection includes Miniclips, news and current affairs, documentaries and beautiful animated stories that are appropriate to a range of learning levels and diverse classroom use. Refugee Week is a unique opportunity for us all to experience and celebrate the rich diversity of refugee communities and stories that make up our country. This year, to celebrate Refugee Week, there are many great initiatives and events to be a part of. For ideas how your school can get involved, check out the organisation’s website here.
