Ask yourself how you will feel about it one day, one month or one year from now.
Chapter 2: Empathy
Consider why colleagues are behaving in a way that annoys you. Try stepping into their shoes and seeing things from their perspective. Beliefs, not events cause distress – figure out which beliefs are making you upset. Recall when you have behaved badly and remember your reasons.

Instead of ‘looking on the bright side’, it can be useful to ask ‘what’s the worst that could happen’. In considering the worst outcomes, you realise that you could cope with most of them.
