Making a Video

Whilst making a video may sound straightforward to start with, there are many stages to get a production started, carried out and completed. This programme takes you through the entire process from the starting point of the brief or concept stage, putting together the creative team and their specialist roles, pre-production to production where the actual filming takes place, and the editing and finishing in post-production. Using the ClickView programme 'The Language of Film and Television', as a case study, a particular scene is analysed in detail. A number of staff involved in this programme provide first-hand insight into how it progressed through the various stages of the video-making process. Consultant Victoria Giummarra, author of 'Senior Media Workbook' and a Board member of ATOM (Australian Teachers of Media) ensures the programme is a necessity for all media studies teachers and students.
